I really need to know if the fuel pump brown cap is really necessary? While putting it on, the cap cracked a bit. This cap:

I can't find this cap anywhere and I need a car by tomorrow

Also I took this pic because I want to be sure that the pump is supposed to be slanted a bit when going on the assembly, I used two o-rings to make a tight seal but it is still slanted and hitting the white connector:

It also sticks out a bit due to hitting the connector, you can see it sticks out where the spacer is, but the o-rings still hold it in place:

Is this all normal for supra pump owners? I really appreciate help, thanks!

I run a re-wired supra pump. It was a long time ago when I installed it but I remember my pump was on an angle as well and I installed it with a cracked brown piece like you had. My crack was not all the way up the side though ... only the bottom portion. Been running this way since 2003. I have a fuel pressure gauge as well and it shows no issues. Hope this helps!

Thanks for reply, did you happen to use two orings as well? I started it up and it worked fine, turned it on with dsmlink and is nice and quiet. I guess it is working properly. How would you know if it is leaking from there? I set my fpr to 43.5psi with hose connected, and had car off and turned on fuel pump with dsmlink, that is good way to do right? I then adjusted screw to 43.5 and when I drove it it dropped to like 30-34 and when i revved it a bit it went to 37. Hopefully it isnt the brown cap?

I also added a smaller o-ring to the top of the brown cap as a preventative
