fuel pressure regulator

sorry this is a dumb question but I'm really confused my car is running rich and think it might have something to do with the fuel pressure but don't know how to set it
i have a 1g n/t does my 4g63 have fuel pressure regulator? and if so how do i find it

Yep, your N/T 4g63 does have a fuel pressure regulator. if you look between the top of your valve cover and the top part of the intake manifold (the part with the letters on it) you will see your fuel rain and injectors. Your regulator is on the drivers-side end of the rail and it should have 2 hoses going to it.

It is non-adjustable. You can hook up a gauge to check your base fuel pressure, but it might be cheaper to just find a good/used FPR if you think its bad. On a side note, I've probably got a few out in my garage.

yea it probly would be less money and time consuming to just replace it then doing a pressure test... but how rich is it actually running, is it smokin? (black or greyish)

Black smoke = Engine is burning excess fuel (running rich)
Blue smoke = Engine is burning oil
White smoke = Engine is burning coolant
