today I went to the bowling alley and when i came out the car started but was misfiring badly. The misfire cleared up at higher rpms. So I go home and hook a scanner up to the car and pull the code. It showed cylinder 1 misfire. I checked the spark plugs, changed them around and the wires and they all looked ok and the misfire persisted thorughout this.

I started the vehicle and started unpluging the injectors. When I unplugged cyclinder #1's injector it made no difference to the idle. I got out my multi meter and set it to ohms and read the resistance of all the injectors. All of them gave me readings except for cylinder #1. I tried doing the 9volt battery test but couldn't get any of them to click for some reason.

Is it safe to say the injector is shot? Is there a way to pull it apart and see if something is wrong internally. I guess now would be the time to upgrade to higher performance injectors. Can I just upgrade to a higher performance injector without changing anything else or would I have to tune it?

I swapped the injector to the clylinder next to it and cleared the cel. car started up and ran bad for awhile and then started to cleae up. I let it run for a while and it started to idle bad and the cel came back on. Now its saying injector circuit cylinder 2 is open. Guess that's a definite bad injector?
