WOW is that a great find for a 1g!!! You lucked out on condition and starting mods :) Your cut out is probably due to stock injectors and no tune.. idk anyone got input on this? Possible the timing is Going crazy under boost... You need your boost gauge hooked up if your going off wastegate boost and not a really good controller you are probably spiking boost to around 14psi at about 5500... That turbo puts out alot more cfm than the stock 14b. I wouldnt think its a boost leak but could be possible.. ive seen those cause alot of different things depending on where it is LOL (once had a leak in my bov that caused a very interesting whistle at 1800rpm) LOL I would start by getting your gauge hooked up. If you dont have it already. Watch your boost. Get a tuner.. atleast an afc. Upgrade your pump asap and injectors to atleast 550's.. If you do your t belt and water pump ect... Dont cheap out trust me :( the cheap-o parts especially water pumps say... from autozone... tend to have a 50/50 chance of wearing out very quickly.. but i would recommend doing a balance shaft eliminator kit while you're into the t belt stuff...

Awesome trade man. Diggin that black(ish) hood look LOL. I actually got my first dsm about 6 months ago, a 91 eagle talon fwd auto nonturbo w/106k miles, bottom of the barrel far as 4g63s go haha. At least I got the right engine. That black hood has me thinking tho.... black hood, black headlight covers, slap a tofu delivery decal on the right side in Japanese.... worlds first initial D dsm! But seriously good luck and happy racing. I'm looking forward to putting some pep in my dsm's step like u man! :D

im on that site religiously! i already had to order a lot more stuff.. im learning a lot of stuff every day.. im in a middle of a head ache tho.. ill post the thread that ive been on for a couple weeks.. :below:

the timing belt is already done... its a Greddy.. just ordered a lot more things because i have been having problems with it (go figure, dsm LOL) so im not upgrading anything till i get this prob fixed, but yes everything you listed is in my near future plans, so dont worry ;).. heres the post.. im getting it fixed tho, parts should come in sometime this week

Welcome to the site, clean 1g nice score. I am coming from Honda's as well, I had a 04 rsx type s. People that drive Honda's talk trash on DSM's and vise versa, easiest way to make it all make sense is this.

Low HP/NA= Reliability
Forced Induction/High HP=A little wrench time

This is weather you have a 400hp civic or DSM, Although Honda people tend to cut corners/drive cars into the ground. I am sure you will be much happier with the 1g after you mod a little bit like your Lude.

I also had a similar problem to your fuel cut, are you positive that it is in fact fuel cut? Does it stop all at once etc? Or feel more like bogging down? I had a few boost leaks, the BISS, the BOV flange and a coupler or two, fixed those leaks replaced plugs and wires and couldn't be happier.
