Fp Intake and Extreme psi jpipe

Just a warning here, the 4 inch fp intake will not even come close to working with the extremepsi jpipe.

Does anyone run a 14b-18g tha knows what jpipe will work? Or is it just not possible with the sidemount intercooler.

Can you post a picture?

You could always cut the j-pipe, clock it differently, and re-weld it.

Check out Dejon Tool's j-pipes. I had one a few years back, and it would clear any intake pipe just fine.

Are the dejon jpipes clocked differently? All I have is a cell phone to take a picture if you want it still.

All I know is that my intake pipe on there now which tapers down to 2.25 inches, is rubbing agianst the jpipe right now, so trying to put that 4 incher in there was impossible.

The J-pipe that you got from Extreme is for a SMIC. If you wanted a J-pipe to work with a FMIC (which would clear that 4" FP intake) you need the SS J-pipe that they sell.

I just bought that intake last week and had the same problem with the intake not clearing the j-pipe. What I did was bought a j-pipe from SBR. The j-pipe I bought was for a side to side fmic, but as long as you buy some straight piping, you can easily make it work, it's just going to be further away from the smic, than the j-pipe you are using now. Are the dejon jpipes clocked differently?

Yes. They travel down the side of the compressor cover, basically making a 14b/16g seem like a down-firing turbo.

Here's a couple pictures of the one I had. You might need slim fans to allow adequate room for this one though.

Ya I bought that along with it, thats not the problem, its the jpipe being in the way. But thanks.

Yeah that reducer coupler is suppose to help clear the j-pipe, but it doesn't depending on what j-pipe you have.
