How the heck do you get the foglight out of a 2g Talon? I can't seem to get the sucker out after removing all the screws that i could see. I tried searching, and came up with nothing....I really want to install these new bulbs i got for 'em ;)

There's only two screws, one above the other, on the side of each foglight. On the opposite side of the two screws, there's a little plastic piece that gets clipped in. Maybe that piece is stuck?

I hope somebody knows, because I couldnt get the foglight assembly out of my 2g Eclipse either. In the manual, it shows only one screw on each light housing, below and behind the adjustment screw, that you must remove. But dammit, I nor my roommate could break the friggin screw loose. :thumbdown

So I have Silvania Silverstar high- and low-beams, and yellow stock foglights.

i was afraid of breaking it... so i guess it could just be that clip...i'll try it again when it stops raining. thanks!

Just the two screws on the plastic trim on the inboard side, then there's kind of a balljoint about the size of a BB on the outboard side.

This is the Talon, Eclipses are different. I don't know how much different the later Talon fogs are, if any.

my passenger foglight is as defiant described.. take out the 2 screws and then you just have to yank it out of that ball joint (at an angle - towards the driver's side)

my driver's side however, had a screw instead of the balljoint... i could get that screw out fine.. but i'm glad there was the balljoint on the other side because the intercooler duct is in the way of a screwdriver

Sounds like someone has "repaired" that one, probably because the nylon grommet that the stud goes into was damaged. Has your car ever been owned by a tractor repairman?
