Hi,
Im about to buy and install a PTE core from slowboyracing and further on a 20G turbo and everything else needed for that setup, but the FMIC comes first!
So what im wondering is if you guys think it will be a problem using a FMIC that big with stock turbo?

The PTE core im about to buy is the medium one

I have the slowboy fmic kit and when i fried my 18g, I ran a 14b for a while with no problems. I was just using it pass time until I got my PTE 60 trim. Just don't forget to upgrade your fuel system before adding that 20g :thumb:

I did the same thing you are doing. I ran my HRC FMIC on the T25 for a while. No issues. Plus, it did make more power on the T25 believe it or not. Just plan ahead for the piping. :thumb:

How so? If people can't figure out that there are MANY other mods that should come before a FMIC they shouldn't me modding there car.

There's a good amount of people on this site who build their cars towards a certain goal, not just hoping for the most power posible out of each and every mod. For instance, I purchased 650s and still had a T25 on, I guess I shouldn't be modding my car either

What spydert said too, but my reason was simply because you made no effort to help correct what you saw as a problem. All you said was that it was wrong without suggesting alternatives to a front mount, with rationalized reasoning supporting your ideas or statements.

down boy, we are allowed to disagree with each other without making every thing an arguemnet  , it is formerly known as a discussion :) :p :laser: :talon: :dsm:

Plus by simply not just blurting out the answer he can do a little reading around the site and find out all the Info he ever wanted to know. It's better to do a little reading and gain some knowledge yourself then to just have someone say you should get this or that.

Sorry, I'm easily annoyed today.

but... I don't remember him asking for anyones advice in the first place. He asked if he'd have ill effects installing his part with his current turbo. Reading comprehension rules!

Thats right 98spydert, thank god for ppl like you on this forum :thumb: , and not for ppl like CanadianTSi  ... i know what other modds i need to get, ppl like you just cant wait to talk trash about others and step up as the allknowing.
Stick to the question, if you got an answer im more than happy to listen, if not... just keep quiet :shhh:
CanadianTSi: i dont know what the hell you talking about in your last post, who has askt for specific parts or what part to buy?

yeah, cause by not typing out the answer some one will press the search, this thread will come up, and in a search there will be some guy telling him to search, and he's thinking, damn, leave me alone, I'm searchin this mutha fu(kerer but they are still tellin me to search. When a search result ends up telling me to search, you know there is a problem some where in the system.

Just some thin to think about.

my friend is currently running an intercooler thats far too big for his stock t25, but its really not that noticable. he got it because he is the "i need a bigger fmic cause its bigger, so it must be better" kind of guys, that wastes money on stuff.
he had a sperco top to bottom flow core on it before, and it was noticably slower with the new fmic. not like "wtf happened" slower, but spoil is slower with a little lag, and you can tell its not as fast.
if you want to put if bluntly, he put the bigger fmic on, 3" exhaust, intake, and got limited slip diff in a built trans(fwd), and is still running the same time at the track as when he got it. but he cant launch it(driver error type of cant), so the diff makes very little difference. so thats a good idea of the difference it will make when your fmic is too big for your turbo.

well.. i think i got my question answerd, it wont be be a noticeible ill effect if any at all ..so i can use it until i get everything else i need.
Thx guys!

What are your goals by getting this FMIC? Looks???
This might help people answer your "ill" effects questions. If you are looking for performance yes there will be ill effects. You do not need that much cooling capacity on your dinky t25 and the added pressure drop will hurt performance. If you are looking to get a FMIC for aesthetical reasons the answer to your question is no, it will run ok.

my goal? ...well ...something like a 20G or other performance turbo with everything that is needed, why do you ask?, cant you jut skick to the damn question... just forget it, im sorry i even brought up the question here, i allways thought dsmtuners.com is good forum where ppl could ask a simple question without getting there head ripped off ...guess i was wrong... bye! :thumbdown

Yeah right LOL, DSMtuners is pretty much full of smart asses and/or people who think they know everything. Get used to it. There's plent of info here and plenty of cool people but I could name a dozen right now that are straight assholes and think their way is the only way (half of them have been banned to make it even more entertaining)
