If it bolts up to stock piping...then its self explanatory.....I just did mine this week. Here is a quick install gouge by....me

The following were from a Greddy 24R intercooler

Things you need to remove
-Front Headlights
-Wheel wells
-Front bumper
-Front Bumper support bar

Step 1:
First, to take the headlights out, there are 4 bolts, you can see 3 of them, the 4th one is a pain. Also, disconnect all the lamp bulb wires so you don't rip them when you take the bumper off.

Step 2:
Then you need to take the driver and passenger wheel wells off. They are those ### plastic screws. Then there are two bolts from the bumper on each side that you need to shove your hands near the well for. They are located specifically near the side markers of the front bumper.

Step 3:

After that, the rest of the bolts for the front bumper are all the plastic ones like the wheel well....there is like 15 of them all around. Ex....Under License Plate, under the lip of the bumper. There are also like 4-5 of them when you lift your hood up...those are easy to spot. Yank the bumper off

Step 4:

now you need to take the bumper support off (the big long black thing you see at this point. There are 4 bolts....2 on each support. One on the top and one on the bottom. It should loosen right up

EDIT: I forgot to mention, the long black bumper support will need a modification, depending on the size of the intercooler....I used a jig saw with like 4 blades (I am a loser and broke a good amount of them...that was an extra 2 trips to Home Cheapo)

Step 5:

What I did to know where to mount the intercooler was I put on the piping first....then the intercooler. You need to mount the sucker. I went to Home Cheapo and went to building material isle and got some flat 2 foot bracket....who knows what they are for...but they work. There were 2 bolts on my intercooler, the one on the top, and on the bottom there is a bracket. You need to support the thing. I also made one for bend on the upper left part of the intercooler where the straight pipe crosses to get to the left side of the plumbing

Step 6:
Then I placed the front bumper over the intercooler to figure out how much I needed to cut on the front to fit this BIG @SS fatboy (damn thing is sooo big, got to love that greddy kit). Be careful when you do this step...only shed an inch at first then 1/2 inch, you don't want to make the job look like crap or cut to much

Step 7:
Do a boost leak test to make sure all clamps and couplings are secure and there are no leaks. Then bolt everything back on

Now, if you are interested, I made a custom front mount water sprayer using my existing Windshield wiper canister and just 2 open/shut valves, 2 T's, and a push switch to mount underneath the throttle pedal (when you are at "WOT" the sprayer will turn on). You just need to run hosing from the stock placement to the front of the bumper under the car. I used 2 Blue L.E.D winshield sprayers you see on the Fart Can powered Rice Burners (AKA Honda's). I mounted those under the bumper in an angle that would spray the cooler.

Hope this helped......... any questions, find me on aim, or send me a PM...LATTTRRR

I'll give you the write-up I did for my FMIC install. It's not terribly detailed, but you'll get the idea, and I tried to make it humorous and conversational so it's not like stereo instructions. Hopefully it helps you out a bit, but from what I've seen, every install is jut a little bit different, due to different IC sizes, mounting locations, mounting methods, appearance, etc.

My FMIC install

Hope it helps. Put some pictures up when you get it installed. :) Good luck.

Thanks buddy, you were a very big help i appreciate it and you should receive big time rep points for this. I will post the pics asap i think its getting done this weekend i cant wait! I dont understand the water sprayer, it sounds nice. Can you see the blue leds at night? I know the water cools off intake temps but does it add good hp?

I was also going to do a water sprayer using the windshield washer resevoir, just for kicks. My design was going to use a small valve right before the line Y's under the hood. Then I was going to just run a line from the valve to the intercooler and put in some nozzles. I was thinking of using misting nozzles from a garden store: I saw a magazine write-up use these since it gives a finer, wider spray than windshield washer nozzles. You'd just turn the valve, pull the windshield wiper fuse, and whenever you want to cool the IC, you'd just pull the stick on the steering column for a spray of water. I just never got around to it, I guess. Maybe next spring I'll work on it. I still have to make a heat shield for my air filter. (Another thing I was going to do last year.)

Glad I could be of some help. Oldman, I might take your advice and submit it to the tech article section. I wasn't sure if it was worthy or not. Thanks for giving me a little confidence. :thumb:

I posted in the Tech section the install of the FMIC, h20 sprayer, and a Cold air intake venting , check it out and let me know. I need to get the pictures for the installation...if I can't find them, i'll just take new ones...I havent shoved my front bumper on yet.
