OK, i just installed a fluidyne radiator in my car and for the most part it fits fine. The problem is that the passenger side fan fins hits my J pipe. Do you think i would be able to shave down the fins on that fan so they don't hit the pipe as it's roatating? It's barely touching the pipe so i know i wouldn't have to shave much, but do you think it would cause the fan to be off-balance or have any other bad effect? I know most people do away with that fan anyways, but when i'm at idle the temp starts to rise a little, when i'm driving it's fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

If your J pipe is thick enough you can sand it down a little. If you are using a fluidyne your temp should not go up at all.

Not if you have a weak fan, or no fan at all.

You could pick up a set of slimline fans to replace both the A/C fan and radiator fan. They are only about an inch or so deep, so it should fix your clearance program.

Yeah i'm probably going to go with some slimline fans. I don't really want to start hacking anything up.

I'm running a single fan with a fluidyne and a giant (2-216 Spearco) front mount and never a problem with overheating.
Is cutting the J-pipe at the flange and rotating it out of the way an option for you?
If you have a welder or know someone who does, this is a easy deal.
