Hi,

I do not know whether I should post this here or in the tech articles section but since it is interior/exterior question I will do it here. I just found out about the article for "Fix the 2g window rattle" at http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57412 but all pictures seem to be broken. I mesged the author last week but still haven't received any response. Does anyone happen to have these pictures from the article? I understand the procedure perfectly but pictures would help me a lot because I am not very experienced with Eclipse tech issues :(.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, please PM me if you have the pictures. Thank you.

Regards,

Svetlin

Yeah, I would like to see those pics too. If you find em man, send em over here.

Guys... do the passenger side first, once you roll the window up and down a few times you'll see right where the loose ones are.

It's pretty self explanatory once you are actually looking at the mechanism itself. :thumb:

Yeah, I know it is really easy and self-explanatory but I am a bit of a newbie with my Eclipse and I just wanted some visual aid to help me in the process, it makes it so much easier. The guy who wrote the article PM-ed me and said that he will look for the pictures and have them fixed in the article itself, they worked a month ago but I just bookmarked the page instead of saving it and now they are all gone :(

If anyone has saved these pics please post them here or PM the author so he could update them on the article itself.

Thanks,

Svetlin

I took these last night if they will help anybody.

Looking inside the drivers door where the wire harness leaves the door going to the vehicle body.

if u dont post those pics send em over to me

If this fix doesn't work (didn't for me), try adujusting the felt tabs towards the top of the door. It solved the rattle for me and they are very easy to adjust, you just have to figure out how the allen head and bolt work to push the felt tabs towards the window.

Adjusting the felt tabs has always worked for me, seems like the window just need a little bit my pressure to hold it into place.

passenger side of my cousins busted he had the fuzzy seals waaay too tight i guess something binded op and shattered it:aha:

found a better way to fix this...

rather than fixing the plastic piece take it out and put little pieces of foam padding to cover the metal i did this last week and it works awesome except i made a mistake and only put one piece of foam on one side so i need to put another piece but even with one piece theres is almost no rattle at all its so slight thats its almost not worth taking the piece back out to fix it

My window rattles terrible. I adjusted the bolts at the top of the door but I didn't use an allen wrench. I assumed the bolt and allan head worked congruently. Are they separate from each other instead? Should I have adjusted the bolt and the allan head?

Yes, I am aware of the age of this thread but I thought this would be better than starting another "help, my window rattles" thread. Sorry if I am wrong.
