Once i upgraded from a t25 to a 14b turbo i haven't been able to have a car without problems. This is the problem...

Single Spring Mod - When i did this and have it about 5 threads showing above the nuts, it leaks, i cannot hold boost to launch(automatic)my car. I can only register about 6 psi and i was running about 2.67s 0-60ft at the track with an AWD car!

Both Springs - When i have both spring in, i have it fairly loose, maybe 2-3 turns from the top, i experience fluttering at all psi and it holds boost fine and launches hard.

Im wondering what i need to do. Should i tighten the bov down harder yet with a single spring mod, or do i hook up the lower nipple to my j pipe with both springs in?

I'm having similar problems. I can't get my Dejon Type S adjusted right no matter where my screw is. I haven't tried the single spring mod, I think I might try that just to see right now. I'd really like to hear some other solutions and/or tips on tuning the Type S BOV.

On your gredy Type s you have a second port on the bottom that is usually open to the atmoshpere. You need to get the proper size barb fitting and hook it up to the intercooler pipe anywhere before the BOV and after your turbo .

I pulled one of my pipes off . Drilled a hole in it and found a piece of tubing that was the same size as the barb fitting. Then I took some Jb weld and fixed it into place. That should solve your surge problems. Here some pics for reference and a link to road race on the install greddy type s install. I know my BOV is a type -r but yours has the same port on the bottom

Hope that helps.
