Toronto,
The Fidanza (was properly stepped ) makes reversing a little hard because I have to keep the revs up or stall, but Rev too much (>3.5K) while slipping and I smell what I think is the clutch burn with the SBR3500 (broken in.)

They say it's slippable like the OEM clutch.... not even!

Basically, if I reverse- it has to be with the clutch fully out sputtering as it moves, or slip it in reverse at really low RPMs (under 3.5k)

Is this normal is or is just a case of bad installation or a cheap clutch?
Or maybe i'm just a newb driver..:tease: WTF

Edited for Clarity

when I back out of a parking space I don't really even get the clutch all the way out before I am starting to go forward. I think you got a case of what I call the ricer back fethering the gas at high rpms while backing ouy trying to sound cool.

If you broke your clutch in you should not be slipping it at all like that. I have the exact same set-up and have had 0 problems. If you didn't break it in, you prob have everything all glazed up and slippery.

Ya it's properly broken in. Drove it alot in stop and go traffic never revving over 4k, forgot how many clicks but I have only launched the car twice to date since I got my clutch about 7 months or so.
And I hate those ricers who back out at like 5000 RPMs. So I re-iterate, I try to keep it under 2.5k.

The clutch burn happens almost instantantly after I over rev (read 2500 RPMS!) This happens if I back out 2 meters, or 5 meters. Slipping a little over = burn.

.......Ok, so lets say the clutch burns when slipped at 3.5k ..worse case scenario, is that still normal to you guys?

Thanks for linking to my original post, though I don't know what good that will do...unless you're trying to point out the fact that I made a new post which I felt was warranted since this is a different question than the original post :)

It's just a stinky clutch. Also, I don't think this clutch likes to be slipped at all.
