So I got a couple different questions.

1. When I start my car and its cold it starts and no belts squeak but if i turn on my fan on any setting a belt squeels very loud and will continue to squeel for a bit unless its reved up past a certain point. I did this today and opened up the hood but couldnt tell if it was coming from my power steering belt or alternator belt. (all A/C components have been removed) could someone tell me whats going on? why its doing this in the cold weather? and what can I do about it?

2. Alot of condensation has built up in the rear window and rear passenger windows, and when I say alot its quite a bit. I opened up my hatch today for the first time in oh lets say about a week and alot of water poured out of the plastics on the underside of the hatch. Has this happened to anyone before and if so what did you do to fix it? is this common or do i have a leak somewhere?

3. So it snowed here almost a week ago and I decided to go have a little fun with a buddy in a parking lot. I had no traction whatsoever from my tires. and wasnt even stepping on it just driving normal on my way to the lot and I took a right at a street and the car decided to go straight, straight into the curb dinged my wheel up pretty good, but the biggest concern is now if the wheel is straight the car pulls to the left pretty good. I took it to les scwhab to have them look at it but of course they wont even take the tire off to look at it unless they get it on the alignment machine, which is about 85 bucks. but they said it could be 3 different things. 1, I just messed up the alignment and needs to be re-alligned 2, I bent a tie rod their repair cost was 130. 3, I bent a strut their repair cost 200. not really wanting to pay them to do it. any guesses on what I messed up?

4. Ive also been looking for a write up for a fog light mod on a 1g the run the fogs idependently or with the running lights, if anyone has done one or is familiar with a link let me know, most write ups I saw were for 2g's

Thanks for your time everyone.

1. Probably the alternator. Have it checked at advanced or auto zone.
2. Check your hatch drain plugs. They could be letting water into the hatch area.
3. The worst thing it could be is the tie rod. That's not too bad of a price TBH.
4. I'm not too sure sorry.

1. Alternator.
2. Definitely check the drain plugs, they clog easily

So if it is the alternator, I just need a new belt? and any suggestions on clearing the drain plugs Ive heard people say to be really careful as to you can puncture them pretty easily.

Sounds like a possible loose or worn alternator belt. Maybe both. With sunroof the drain tubes plugged up causing water to build up another common problem is the sunroof seal is shot. Earl is correct, you need alignment pay the 85 dollars to find out want is causing the car to pull. Usually they will allow you to do the repairs and bring the car back to align the car. Check the VFAQ section. With drain tubes use some very low air pressure to clean them out.

Depending on how hard you hit, you could also damage your lca. I did that in an accord and it ripped the subframe where the lca attaches. I had to change the whole thing out

The seal on the hatch is definately bad, I popped off the plastic which hides the rear windshield wiper and there was alot of water in there, definately not good for that motor. so im letting that all dry out and this weekend going to take off the spoiler and reseal it all.

When the plastic cover fills, it is NOT from the drain plugs. Put a nice thin coat of clear silicone along the bottom of the rear hatch glass. Water will seep under the seal at the bottom of the glass and fill the cover with water.

Had the same issue, cleaning tube did not help. One swipe with a finger with silicone, no more leaks for the last year.

SEE HERE

There use to be another but I can't seem to find it anymore...

A good sign the alt is going bad is a squeal. I have seen alternators totally burn out after 2 -3 weeks from this squeal. I would def. pull it out and take it to get tested for free at a local auto parts store. (most places offer free testing.) My bet is your regulator in the alt. is starting to give out. It isnt hard to remove on a 1G. Just remove the belts unbolt the P/S pump and move it to the side (no need to un-clamp the lines) and pull it straight up from there. takes 10 minutes max to remove and 10 more to re install.

EDIT: My mistake, is this for a 1g 420A?

420a's were in 2gs only

For the fog lights, you just need to pop out the fog light switch and rewire it so that the source coming to the switch is ACC (switched 12V). The source to the switch comes from the low beam circuit so that the fog lights only work when the low beams are on. You just need to rewire that one wire. It would help to have a Haynes manual to have the wiring diagram. There is also a VFAQ that covers this.

No its for a 4g63, i just got trigger happy while making an account years ago when i bought my 96 gs

If you car is pulling to one side after the slide you probably bent the lower control arm. I did that last year, pretty easy fix. The bent wheel will usually just make it "wobble" like loose lug nuts when going down the road.
