feels like it wants to die after i rev it

my car seems to run fine until i rev it then the engine starts to shake and it nearly dies please help?

well does it shake while reving or on decel? do u have a fpr?or just stock let me know

+1, this is a common problem from venting without a blowthough set up

its on the decel and no fpr

i just have a stock blow off valve the car ran fine but i just recently replace the head and it started acting up. another thing im getting an almost rythmitic noise comming from the egr/throttle body area its like a grinding sound could this be a problem?

Uhm... Check timing?!?

i checked it with a timing light its sitting AT 10 deg. before top dead center. Could my base timing be off?

ok so that grinding noise is comming from my throttle position sensor> i put a multimeter on the wiring harness connecter and the ohms are jumpin between different setting just like that rythmitic noise i was hearing. I just recently replaced the dash I have a 1990 and the dash i put in is from a 93. Could this be the problem because i used the 93 wiring harness instead of the 90 wirirng harnes?? PLEASE HELP!!

More than likely, because 90's have a different TPS and ISC to name a few things.

sorry for wastin your guys time but i switched out the 93 wiring harnesss for the 90 wiring harness and wala problem soplved. Thanks for the help though
