I'm really biting my tongue here, but I have to ask. Now, I'm no top mechanic, but I do know alot about cars in theory. I realize that the movie made alot of very cheesy references, and in turn, sparked an uprisal of rice flowing through the streets. But, it is pretty much the only movie out there featuring modded imports, and to me, though very unrealistic, was very interesting. At the very least it showed alot of shiny objects, and was, as of now, the closest thing to the real street racing scene that we had. I just want to know what everyone hated so much about it. I thought that they did an okay job, seeing how the director wasn't an ethusiast himself. I don't mind saying it is one of my favorite movies out right now. Let me know what you think.

Finally someone has a clue!! Double clutching was for trannys without synchros. If your synchros are shot then you can double clutch to get it in gear.

1. In gear
2. Clutch in
3. Out of gear in neutral
4. Clutch out.
5. Clutch in.
6. In gear

DCing matches engine speed to tranny speed and is worthless these days. Well almost worthless......if you have a 3si then your synchros are crap and dcing is a good thing. Search the web if you want the technical description of this.

some people are talkin about mashing the car into gear with the clutch in and stay on the gas pedal..i think you're reffering to "power shifting" ... you keep the gas pedal floored, push in the clutch and shift into the next gear quickly while still on the gas..trick is to shift b4 the revs jump to redline...this keeps your revs up but takes a toll on the clutch quite a bit...some of my friends do it while dragging, helps a bit but rapes the hell outta there cars...
