Ok, this is the first time I'm hearing of "BOV-simulator". It is mighty retarded. And it pisses me off.
Since I bought an HKS SSQ and will be venting with GM MAFT blow-through set-up, everyone's going to think it's fake. :mad: :laugh:

Ok guys, my girlfriend loves my blow off valve and wants to have the same sound in her car. However, she doesn't race, nor even have the money for a turbo. I've heard of an electronic blow of valve that fakes the sound but can't seem to find where to get it. Any help would be appreciated, her birthday is coming up soon and I kinda wanted to suprise her by installing one in her car. As least until she gets a real turbo. Oh and hey, you guys dont have to tell me, I know it's rice, i know its "ghey", i know it's this and that, but it's for my girlfriend so chilll out...:thumb: I give her a little blow off valve, and she'll give me a little blow of my valve, get it?:D
 
try ebay, those things along with the fake intercoolers were all over ebay.... might as well get her an interFOOLer too :rolleyes:


sorry, i really dont want to but, those things are hands down the worse invention ever made and by buying one you are supporting the cause, if some kid ever walked up to me and was like come listen to my car and i asked him to pop the hood with no turbo id punch him in the mouth, along with the person who "invented" it...

but hey, whatever spins your tires. (you know, like whatever floats your boat :thumb: )
 
i just searched on google for "fake blow off valve" and got a nude live webcam page so no more searching for me, GL! hehe
 
Also, like i was saying before, thos things are not my kind of thing, but my girlfriend wants the sound, not the speed, so i figured why not. These things are kind of making sense to me now. Fake blow off valves, V6 mustangs, and things like that. They're for girls! I mean, why didn't I think of that before, a girl like the way a mustang looks, but doesn't want the power, cost, or gas mileage it brings, so she gets the V6. Same wiht the electronic blow off valves, she wants the sound, but not the cost and everything else. Not that I'm sexist or saying all girls are liket his of course.

I'd like to play the other side of the debate, and say:

Go for it!!

I'll see your "girlfriend's" car on the road.. and depending on how convincing those fake BOV/interFOOLer setups are, i'll be laughing my ass off when I pass "your girlfriend", which I thought had at least 300whp.
 
Well, it would seem kind of illogical for me to get an electronic BOV, considering how I actually have a real BOV, 1st gen bov, but still a bov. haha. Seriously though, she doesn't race, she has more or less a show car. She has an RSX base model with a body kit, and a few, or should I say one, bolt on = short ram intake. Wait, she has a strut bar too. But anyways, the fake bov would be more for fun than anything, not really to try to impress anyone but her own friends and to play some jokes on our mutual racing friends, she has no intention of actually trying to pass the car off as a turbo except to a few cars on the street who might hear it and think it is. She's not going to roll down her window and scream "i have a turbo" to anyone, and if asked, she will definitely tell them she doesn't haveone. even as it is, she does little more than simply rev her engine at a few civics simply to see them get scared by the fact that she's in an RSX (she has her emblems shaved). We're actually saving up to get her a cybernation motorsports turbo kit, but that's later on. This is just to hold her over for the next 4-5 months, for fun, and as a joke. Like I said, I know how "ricey" this is, but whatever makes her happy you know? She makes me happy, I'd like to get her the simple little things that make her happy. If you guys wanna help me to find this thing, than i'm appreciative, but if not, then you don't need to bash or flame as I know what this fake BOV entails, I have after all, owned 2 DSM's and an RX-7.
