I ordered a custom intercooler from J.R. (not Junior) a while back.
I would say almost winter to be exact.
Well to start off J.R. is an amazing business man.
He does it all.
Takes the time to help with your selection, explains the difference in his products, gives you insight and feedback, and much more.
He doesnt try to sell you on anything you dont want, are not interested in, and just downright have no use for.
He is very honest and full of helpful ideas.
Any problem you might incure, he is there on the phone with you to discuss what is wrong and how fix the problem with the easiest solutions. And ususally the problem that occurs is from an install error and never a manufacturing error.
His products are TOP NOTCH and second to NONE!
Wanna see his welds??
stack up some POLISHED dimes and knock them over sideways and thats what the welds look like, no joke.
I ordered a custom intercooler from him (just ask, there is more that just whats on the website)
I pretty much got the 10.5" intercooler but hacked down to 9".
J.R. asked me what my goals for the car was and told me the 10.5" was more of a Strip intercooler while the 7.5" was a street desigen.
I wanted the I/C to be atleast 9" tall to fill up my 97' front end with the black strip cut out of the top.
The order was placed one day and completed the next.
5 Days ground shipping (dont wanna rush it and risk it being bashed to shit in the mail.) and it was on my desk at work.
A month later with it still at the office I ordered J.R.'s T-25/T-28 side to side I/C piping.
After warming up some I finally got around to putting it on and hacking my bumper up a little. I had to cut the STOCK fan shroud a little, but with NO ill effect.
I went from 12psi on my Big T-28 to 22psi.
after highway runs i would stop the car off the ramp and touch the I/C and the upper pipe just to see how it was doing
Cold to the touch!
FREEZING!
I had a small overheating problem but that was due to me taking out the stock shroud/ducting.
After I made a new one my temps went back down to normal and everything was good.
I would buy from this company over and over and over again if I could.
But I know this will be the last I/C I will need for this car.
Overall cost was about $500 for everything.
Intercooler, couplings, piping, and clamps.
Really... can you beat that?
