experince with fluid damper

Came across this on the Fluidampr site, obviously don't take their word for it but found it interesting Fluidampr vs ATI, guess we know which one they think is better:

Fluidampr® Harmonic Dampers Made in U.S.A.

Nice find!
Atleast they are providing some sort of data/proof of how well their product works.
I dont have the time now, but I would like to see if ATI provides any data/proof of how well their unit works compared to fluidampers. If they dont provide any data than either they dont test their products or they just dont want to admit that their product is inferior to fluidampers, that speaks for itself IMO.

Thanks for that link to the fluid damper group buy. Hopefully I'm going to take advantage of it. I had lost that posting and couldn't find it for whatever reason. Did you ever get your scratched pulley exchanged?

My lower pulley blew apart and ate my accessory belts this am just as I pulled into work. I was trying to hold off replacing the lower pulley for as long as possible. Still trying to find that money tree. It ate my power steering and alternator belts. I don't have an a/c system anymore. I was able to drive the car home sans alternator and power steering. It wasn't far a six minute drive. I'm going to buy a Fluidamper pulley this next paycheck. The car will have to sit for a little while. I'm pretty used to that by now.

I guess it hadn't occurred to me until I had the new part in my hand that I eliminated the a/c system on my car... I have one belt that goes from alternator to the water pump pulley to the crank pulley and one belt that goes from the backside of the water pump pulley to the power steering. The fluidamper pulley comes with two slots for two belts. One for the alternator/water pump and one for the a/c system. Is there another model fluidamper that eliminates the second slot for the a/c?

squealed some last night, maybe for a few minutes, and then stopped. Ran fine. I drove it for almost and hour with no squealin or signs of problems. I started it up this morning and it was again squealin. It stopped a few minutes later and I drove away. Made it a block before it ate it. Snow day. Did I make the belt too tight?

I bought a goodyear gator belt instead of the cheap one. I can't say that I did anything much different than when I installed the cheap belt last night. Seems to be pretty much the same tension that I did with the cheapie belt but this one doesn't squeal and i drove a couple hours playing in the snow with no squeal and breakage.
