Exhaust question

I have a 91 Laser, N/T. Between the cat. and the muffler there is a cylinder which has come apart at one of the welds. Is there a purpose for this piece, or can I just cut it out and put a piece of pipe in there? I'm gonna have to go cheap on this one, so if I could just cut it out, that would be great!

Its a resinator, It stops your muffler from sounding like Sh*t.

I'd replace it for now if I were you, they dont' cost that much.

Alright, I was actually thinking of a cat back now. My birthday is comming

I'll admit I don't know too much about the pacecetter stuff (mainly cause I haven't used em) But for that price you could do a whole lot better.

Ask GSgoing fast and anyone else who's got the Tusdo exhaust system and the price for that.

There is the Hayme cat-back that is on the lower end in price but sounds really good (its on my car)

Also the standard cat-backs that we all know and love. (HKS/Apexi N1/Greddy Evo 2)

The price is in CDN though, so once I work out shipping and exchange, it's almost cheaper for me to go with that one I don't have a whole lot money right now, the wifes in school and I have a two year old daughter, so I have to go with cheap, sorta All the other ones I cheaked out are pretty much double the price. I may just try it, and let you know how it works out. I have to try and suck my mom into paying for some of it anyways for my birthday gift For some reason the wife won't let me use her student loan money for the car.....
