Evo VII turbo with EVO VII manifold on 1g, I know its been asked a lot

I just got a EVO VII turbo and manifold for free. I know its backwards on our cars and all that but would it work with this turbo flange adapter plate?

Well it says it would work, but still, IMO a regular evo 3 16g would be better, the transtion from one outlet to a twin scroll outlet will create backpressure or turbulence. Also the fact that our manifold is still a single scroll makes me think that a evo 3 16g would perform better. Sell it on Evolutionm.net and buy another.

Your inlet will still have to be on the drivers side. Otherwise, you won't have room for the radiator.

You should honestly just sell it. No, you probably won't be able to get much for it, but that's because it can't really be used on anything but an Evo. It has been asked before and the answer is always the same, it just doesn't fit and even if you tried to make it work, it just wouldn't be worth it compared to just using a turbo that fits a DSM.

If it were me (and it is), i would go with some stuff that is tried and true. Why go with an EVO8 turbo or anything else when an EVOIII is, pretty much, a direct fit, tried, powerful, and whats more MADE for your engine. Not stand-out enough for ya? Rock a 20G.

That's just my opinion. Why do you specifically want this turbo? What benefits are you getting that you wouldn;t get otherwise?

Well the turbo was given to me from a friend so i just wanted to see if it could be put to any good use.

I'm guessing he only asks about this specific turbo because he got it for free. The thing is there is a reason all the people that ask this got these turbos for free and that's because they can't be used on many cars.

Also, your exhaust runs on the other side of where the Evo exhaust will. So, no, it won't work on your car without you spending a lot of money to get it to work. Not worth it, in my opinion.
