Evo III Intake Manifold with bbk TB

I know I had to port my Evo3 rvr to match a 1G N/T throttle body which is 60mm if I remember right. Great set up though either way you spin it the mid range and top end is noticeable with and without a tune.

If you're going to use the BBK throttle body with the Evo manifold, you'll want to port match the manifold to get rid of the step. With that said, the BBK throttle body isn't the best design from the factory. The shaft rides on "sealed" bearings that don't seal all that well. In the past, I modified one to accept the factory style shaft seals and it sealed with no boost leaks. I'm not using that throttle body anymore and am willing to let it go FYI.

Looking at your build, I would run the Evo 3 intake manifold with the 1G throttle body. I run the Evo 3 IM with 1G N/T TB and run 10's in the 1/4 mile and 450 AWHP through the auto(Likely high 500's on the manual). Save your money and put it towards something else. You can pick up a 1G TB for under $50.
