Its been a while now since I have this idle problem where when I come to a complete stop the car would shake violently and idles goes down from 800 to 400 and die 90% happen when the a/c is on and the other 10% when its off. I boost leaked the car and found a huge leak at the throttle body gasket so I thought that might be the problem. So today I changed out my throttle body gasket because you can hear the air leaking out from there then I boost leak it again now the whistling boost leak sound isn't that loud anymore, but there was still a leak somewhere. Just then I found a couple of loose and unhooked vacuum line and plug them back together no more sound. I thought that would solve my problem but nope I drive around and the first stop I come to car shakes violently then dies. I checked my throttle cable line and it has a little slack, cleaned out the throttle body already, changed to a used idle air control motor( which I took out today and it was black as hell), maf is not hacked, also a while back I got a code that said my mass airflow was bad so I wouldn't know but it never came back since I cleared it. So any help would be greatly appreciated, Also 5 bucks paypal to whoever can solve my problem :thumb:

try resetting the IAC, turn the key to on, but dont start it. then unplug the IAC, wait a good 5 seconds, then plug it back in. this worked for me.

i have that hiss coming from my TB also, im gonna make a tester to see what i can find, i looked at all my hoses i could see and couldnt find anything. also theres a way to test the IAC, but i cant remember where i had the link to it but here it is off my hear

1 2 3
4 5 6

you test the resistance between 1 and 2, then 2 and 3, then 4 and 5, then 5 and 6 on the actual IAC unit, not the wiring harness. they should all read between 28-33ohms. take out the battery to get to it easier. 5 minutes will tell you if you need to spend 250 on a new one.

all this typing, i am desperate for money.

okay I tested another iac I had and each different combination was about 30 ohm so I put it in my car now the car idles in part at 2200  but it did stop me somewhat from dying at every stop but I don't want to overheat. Also I couldnt' get it down from 2200 I backed the biss screw all the way in and check the throttle cable once more and it was not tight so that can't be the cause of the high idle. So anymore advice or help would be appreciated, thanks.

P.S. Car always dies when the motor is hot.
