I bought a 1990 Eclipse GS about a year ago and ended up blowing the engine due to a broken timing belt. I bought a '93 Talon 2.0 engine and transmission and had them swapped into the '90 Eclipse, just to have the tranny go out on me (high mileage transmission, not taken care of well). So now I'm looking into buying a mt Talon or Eclipse to put the Talon engine into. From the research I've done, looks like I'll need to look for a '93 or '94 Eclipse or Talon so I won't have any compatibility issues. The main thing I want to know is will I be able to put this engine into a manual without any major problems? As you can tell, I'm definitely new to car mechanics, etc., but I'd really like to learn. So any offered help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you will be able to put the engine out of the automatic car into the manual trans car. Everything you should need for parts will already be on the car.
