Engine Fuse Issue Please Read!!

ok here is my deal......i have just completed installation of my shep stage 2 tranny. the only electronics that were disturbed from when the car was pulled into the garge running fine were the starter and the sensors on the tranny. keep in mind also that the starter was not completly removed from the car, it was simply disconnected from the bell housing and the negative cable was also removed. i put everything back on as it came off. I even went as far as moving the ground on the starter to a new location thinking that might be the issue.

I go to get in my car and start it up, I turn the key to the first click lights come on gauges and the lights work and sterio.....however safc and avc-r will not come on....then I put the key to the second position, fuse blows.....am i forgetting something simple or what....im confused.

If i go to actually start the car the starter kicks on find and the engine turns over very well....however there is no fuel pressure and the pump does not come on.''

BTW the large negative cable must go from battery negative to the starter mounting bolt to handle the high starter current properly - not to the body or any other engine bolt. A separate cable should go from battery negative to the body.

ok i looked everything over ton, including the ECU, there seems to be no bare wires around the fuse box or any of the harnesses in the engine bay, so i decided to look around the ECU where my AFC 2 and AVC-r are wired......i came to find that the red power wire for the AFC 2 was completly exposed, I have yet to check and make sure that this might be the answer, put if it was, I am sure that a short in the red power wire going to the ecu could cause the 20 amp engine fuse to blow.

If it is not the prob however, I need to know everything major that ties into the engine fuse so I can begin to disconnect stuff and see if any of that is the issue.\

I also heard something about a MPI or HPI relay, can someone tell me what that is and where it is located on a 2G and if it might have anything to do with my issue.
