electrical, short, fuse, coil pack

ok to start, i need to know what the fuse in the engine bay to the left of the alternator fuse is for, its fuse B fusible, has a white wire coming from it on one side and on the other its connected to the alternator fuse, well the wire side is shorting out somewhere real bad, what does it do and where does it go to. its such a bad short it popped my 100 amp alternator fuse. next my coil pack is only putting off two cyl. 2 and 3 which is the blue with red stripe wire on the triangle plug. the blue with black stripe coming from the power transistor isnt getting any power at all to fire 1 and 4. do you think that maybe the pt is bad or what could be going on. please pm me to help me thanks. shawn

That fuse supplies power via the white-black wire to fuse 8 and 11 in same box and fuses 1,5,6,10,11 in inside fusebox.
