So I have been searching for the past 3 days, Not sure if I am wording my search incorrectly. Or if I am just not able to find the topic on this. I have read the merlins guide and watched the youtube 16 video set about this and still have not luck. My Ecu flash is showing strange numbers compared to the rest of the threads I have been over reading. Can someone tell me if they are just weird numbers I have to revalue or do I have the wrong defs or something.

little narrative of the photo, across the top is load all of the values are 204.. and the side are all RPM values at 2559... the injector latency are two different values of 515.19 and 0.07. I have resized my injector scaling to 880 but do not want to go any further without know what these other values are for, and if I can just revalue them and move on.

Thank you for any help with this issue,

We need a lot more info of what you did.

1) Are you using Ceddymods?
2) I see the "big maps" fuel table is open. If you do not have that rom, the tables will be like you posted. Did you look at "high octane fuel map 1 or 2"? Are they the same way?
3) Is this the image pulled from the car's stock ecu?

Lets start with that and go from there.

Any more info would help too.

okay well to answer the questions

1) yes using the 1.9c ceddy with big maps I bought.
2) the high oct maps have similar values with will include a screenshot.
3) yes this is the copy of the stock rom I pulled from the ECU when I read it.

an little more info bout the car is that it is a 99 gst spyder, my mods are in my profile but at this point would not have any variance to the stock map and values. displayed

Regarding definitions, ensure that this step has been completed correctly.

"20550011.xml = EcuFlash .xml file

Goes in -> C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\eclipse"

Further, I would need to experiment, but I've never tried to dissect my stock rom. I might not expect to be able to fully read the stock rom using the provided def files on ceddy's site. It's likely that the def files we use are not set up for it entirely, depending on year and ecu version and that's why you're getting the mess in the above photos. This is also why we don't use the latest 99 GSX rom, we just don't have reliable definition files for it.
I think that you will have much more luck, in the meantime, using ceddy's roms and going from there.

yup I have the rom data in the in the correct location. I followed the install process from merlins. I am not trying to change anything yet due to not being sure if this is the correct def to decode the correct values... thanks for the information though, I think I am going to start from scratch and try different roms and defs to see if there is a better outcome

I have the rom and the defs from ceddy web sight. Do I save the rom file as an hex then mod from there or do I read the rom from the ecu as a hex and save from there?

You can edit any of ceddy's roms as they are, no need to convert from hex to bin or anything like that. ECUflash can read and save roms of either format.

Before you go around making edits, start by simply flashing the appropriate ceddy mods rom onto your ECU. See how its runs(should be normal), notice the little things though like the bouncing stock boost gauge.

For instance, If I were setting up ceddy mods for the first time:
1)plug it all in
2)read the stock rom and save it somewhere for safe keeping.
3)select my desired ceddy rom and open it with ECUflash.
4)burn it to the ecu
5)enjoy ceddy mods

6)tweak, tune and modify the rom while continuing to enjoy ceddy mods.

Okay so after deleting everything and redoing it all it is working. Was able to flash and save my stock tune. Started the car and took it for a few runs... Wow totally different car, must say I did not expect that! The difference from a starting tune then the 880 injectors and the 16g at 14 psi tune is night and day.
