ECU Maybe

I have a 1990 dsm turbo. Every time I go out and start my car its a different matter it starts up every time no problem. Some of the times it wil run great others it acts as if was on its last leg. Pretty much ruled out it being due to mostiure. Any thoughts other then the ecu unit.

Ive got a simualar problem , my 92 misfires alot and i have hardly any throttle responce ( almost like a huge boost leak that happens mostly during the day and occasonally at night). That and i had my car die on my while driving and ive narrowd it down to the ecu. Id say take out the ecu and see if the capacitors are leaking inside or if you dont wanna go through all that trouble take out your radio and smell the ecu. If it smells like fish or anything foul then most likely your capacitors are leaking. From ecu direct you can get a new ecu for 240$ ,or you can search around for another 90 ecu ( 91 - 94 ecu has a tendency not to work well in a 90) or if it hasnt fried through you pc board you can get new capacitors at machv.com and they run 1$ and then just find a capable shop to work on the ecu and that should cost 50 - 30$.
