Calgary,
Hi guys

I was wondering if anybody knew aprox hom much it would cost to turbo charge a 94 Eagle Talon ES. I heard quotes anywhere from about $800cdn up to about $3500. I just wanted a beginer turbo with like 8 or 9 pounds of boost. If i got a turbo I know I would have to down exhaust down pipes and a computer upgrade. But I also heard that I would have to do intake, fuel pressure regulator and fuel injectors. Money is a little tight so if anybody had any aprox values or links as to where i can check out some prices that would be awesome.

Buy a 1st gen turbo scrap car. Should cost you around $1300CDN. It'll have everything necessary. If you just buy parts, it'll cost you more.

I live in Canada where there is an abundance of junkyards (Ontario near Toronto). I've done it, helped others do it and know the pricing very well.

i just bought a turbo kit for my 97 eclipse, i got it for $1600, it was used but it was complete, it came with everything, all the fittings, all the hoses, and it was a really sweet kit, i am in the process of installing right now, post pics when I'm done...

Hey TimG

You really think I could buy a scrap 91,92 or 93 or even 94 Talon ffor under $1500. Would it be smashed up or just really high mielage you think. I live in a big city I shouldn't have anyproblems finding junkyards but finding a good condition engine in a Talon may not be so easy.

By the way which other parts would i need besides these ones if I were to find a talon:

Air Intake
Computer
Exhaust Down Piped
Turbo
Piping
Intercooler

Fuel Injector???
Fuel Pressure Regulator???

Yes, the car will probably be smashed. Rear ended TSis are a God-sent for 1G ES's. Just look around for one at junkyards.

or you could buy tim's remnants when he's done.

seriously though its not that hard to do. there are a couple of tech articles written on how to do it.

Very true but these write ups are terrible. Horrible lay-outs and brutal grammar makes understanding the write-up near unbearable.

I'd write one up but I'd have to have a couple hours of free time and some motivation. Someone want to pay me? :p

hey two of those terrible write-ups are mine

Lol. Not yours Kyle. The one from angelfire.com is the one I was refering too. Yours is good and gives room for people to think for themselves while doing their own set-ups.
