dumb waterpump question

I stripped one of my UPPER left bolts cause my torque wrench is being dumb. I found a 1-2 thread longer bolt laying around same exact size, so i put it in, the pumps on now the bolt went on by hand then i torqued it down myself just enough, filled the radiator with water and no leaks, by me making that bolt 1-2threads longer that wont hurt anything will it? just cause how far into the block it goes

no question is dumb...I had the same thing happen to me before and it ended up leaking after few months. You should take care of it now so that it doesnt cause any bigger problems later on.... just my .05 cents
