dual walbro's INTANK????

here is my problem, Im running -6an from sending unit to rail, with a 255hp rewired and 850fic injectors. I have just bought the forrester manifold and will be using direct port option... :cool: . Now the problem is I am pretty sure that the 255hp cant keep up the pressure for the rail and the wet kit. I am looking at doing a second walbro INTANK with two seperate -6an to a y-block on the firewall. Then -10an up to FIC rail and T off to the NOS kit from one line just before the y-block. Does this sound good.

run a small fuel cell with race gas, and run a line that runs just the nos kit. I know I will have to have a return and some sort of FPR (modify a stock one-somehow) on this setup.also this set up i could use my old stock pump for in the cell.

What do you think????
 
Supra guys put two pumps in the tank and use regular brass fittings to mate them together to the feed line right inside the tank. Brass fittings and fuel line inside the tank (obviously) is not a problem and you can get it all together right there. No need to use expensive fittings where you can not see them. Rubber and brass is your friend.

You can feed 700hp with dual 255 on one -6 or 3/8ths hose.
 
If you want to run dual fuel pumps. You will need to have a rather large fuel return line to handle the amount of fuel you will be pumping to the rail. What you can do the help is to only run the second pump when you need it. Like only run it when the N2O is activated. You can use the WOT for the nitrous to turn it on.
 
have you thought about a inline, like a aeromotive 1000. if i was in that situation, i would go that route

Another thought is that you could run a surge tank along with a nice inline. Then run whatever low pressure pump (within reason) you wanted intank.
 
well, If I run two intake pumps and only kicked the second one on while spraying , my fuel pressure would raise considerably and then it would just fall on its face. And I know I would have to run a -6an for the return, if doing the dual pumps. I have looked into the aeromotive set-up, except I daily drive the car so I dont want to sump the tank, or go fuel cell. I have given alot more thought to the second smaller fuel cell, cuz then the car could run pump all the time and the cell add in c16 with the nitrous. I could somehow modify the stock fpr for the cell and have return back. ANY other ideas, or anybody that has done something like this before??????
 
I'm running into the same problems...I was going to go with the A1000 pump, but it requires external fuel filters. On the other hand, the BG King Sumo is self-filtered, eliminating the external filters. I will probably sump my tank, and run -8AN feed/-6AN return. Is sumping illegal in some areas because modifying stock fuel tanks against the law? I heard that certain fuel modifications are not to DOT standards. Otherwise, I think sumping the stock tank is the cheapest, easiest, most daily-driveable friendly thing to do.

The only problem with a big inline is that an A1000 is not the most street friendly pump, it will heat up the fuel and it will burn up after a while on a daily driver unless you spend more coin for a voltage regulator.

Thank you for that info, I didnt know even think about that. That rules out sumping the stock tank so I guess I'm gona try the second fuel cell trick. I'll post some pics and give some feedback about it. Gona do it this week hopefuly.
