yep im ditching the bleeder type mbc and getting a ball and spring:mad:

if you got the money, shoot for an electronic boost controller. nothing beats the consistency, the faster ramping of boost pressures, or the accuracty. The used ones are not very expensive either. I got my Blitz EBC for $100 and that has 3 separate boost settings. There is also this guy for $99 shipped: http://ee-enhanced.com/EBCv2.php

Otherwise, go for a ball style MBC.

i cant afford an ebc, im trying to get a house, and keep my dsm on the road at the same time, LOL not getting very far:coy:

the best way to keep it on the road might be to run stock boost levels. thats also cheap.

I do know what you mean. I have been thinking about a house lately too. with the low market, all the foreclosures, and the nice first time homeowners tax credit, now is definitely the time to get a house. I have pretty poor credit and my calculated monthly mortgage payments would still be the same as what I am paying to rent my current house.

so, buy a house now; apply for grants or get a loan that covers the downpayment. when tax refund time comes around, use the (up to) $8000 to make dsm go fast :D

kyle is out. he has to work. spaz, i told him that if it rains and we skip the drag racing, we will go hang out with him for a bit. :sneaky:
Really? Dammit. Now I don't know whether to wish for rain or sun...

Actually, what needs to happen is rain for the autox and sun afterward to dry up the strip for 9pm.

LOL ya im thinking about a house because of all the cheap prices and that 8,000 tax credit would make a dsm go very fast, haha. ok im not going to make it the event so i want updates, i just got my oil pan last night and i am still waiting on another boost gauge, and i definately cannot go for any long trips/track events with the boost level im hitting on a stock system, LOL wouldnt be good, and this is a bummer because my tranny has been shifting perfectley all week so i was gonna try to run her. ( she is still a cherry)

looks fine. its ball and spring. i have made boost controllers while standing in hardware stores before, so they are not magical or anything. they are all just brass tees with a spring, a ball, bolt, and locknut.

one thing i did see on it is it has a "releif hole" in the side of it, will that affect anything

you need that relief hole so when you stop building boost the pressure doesn't stay in the line going to your boost controller. if it didnt have a relief hole, it would build boost and the wastegate would open and stay open for a few minutes or hours because the pressure would be stuck after the mbc.

oh ok gotcha tht makes perfect sence, sorry im a noob, but i think im going to buy it, at least untill i can afford the aem tru boost, thanks:thumb:

there could be, but eddyville is only an 1/8 mile track. we would hardly break the highway speed limit in our cars :p

haha ya but its so fun to whoop on the rustangs that barely have room to get there 4000 pound cars moving hehe LOL

i think its on the 19th but i will haft to check, ut there is another midnight madness
