That be down also if we all cruised like the back roads from el paso to las cruises... Old masia if thats how you spell it but idk if any of you guys have done that drive it would be badass its all back roads and then we can all pull over side to side in the pecan trees and take pics. Alot of bikers do that cruise its nice specially for the SPYDERs :) ( I should get my gs-t this week ) cross my fingers :)

All questions about parking should be answered now. The loop around is a one way street all the way around. There's parking a little further up by the boy scout area that could definitely accommodate several more vehicles, and the amphitheater has more than enough room for us to line up door by door. The only problem is that it's a pretty good walk to the picnic areas.

I'll be in the canyon this weekend I'll get a count of how many cars can fit and post it on here...my contribution to the community!:hellyeah:

Sorry to steal your thunder endsurvivor, however nothing beats a good old Mark I eyeball on the scene

I'm in. Think we need to get the park rangers permission to do this? Give him an invite to come eat as well?

I just found out that they are having an autocross event at Cohen Stadium on the 29th. Not sure on the times yet but maybe we can incorperate the autocross into the cookout somehow (depending on the times of course). I've been wanting to give autocross a try for a while now.

im so down for the autocross ive trying to find the events on cohen....so when is this meet then so i can make sure i got a dsm up at that date LOL

So do you know what time is the autocross gana be so we can see if is it gana be able to do the cook out aswell?

Here's the info I've gotten:

Price is $50 for non SCCA members
Registration starts around 8:00 am
First car usually starts off around 10:00 am
With the turn out they've been having they are usually done by 2:00-3:00 pm.

I also just found out that they have these events every 2-3 weeks until November and they are all at Cohen Stadium! Why didn't I find this out sooner?!?!

So if you guys want to keep the cookout around lunch time on May 29th, I can just go to the next autocross day on June 12th. I'll start another El Paso Autocross thread in case you guys want more info.

This is going to be a busy summer for me, Drag Racing at the El Paso Motorplex, Auto Crossing at Cohen Stadium, and Road Racing at Arroyo Seco.

Continue the Cookout discussion... :D

If you guys still want to do the autocross I'm down, but the cookout would have to be later in the afternoon. We need to figure this out quickly though we can start spreading the word, the end of May is fast approaching. We need some more opinions, everyone chime in.

I don't want to exclude anyone so lets forget the autocross. For those that are interesed in autocross see this thread, http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/el-paso-area-dsm-forum/402154-el-paso-scca-autocross-2011-a.html, and we'll go to the next one on June 12th.

For the cookout, it's barely 2 weeks away and I feel like we are still at square one. I'll go ahead and volunteer to bring the meat (burgers and dogs) and the charcoal (I've got several bags in my garage).

We will still need people to volunteer to bring:
Plates and napkins
Buns (hotdog and hamburger)
Chips and dip
Drinks and ice
Ketchup, mustard, mayo
Lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese
Coolers (I'll bring one, but it would be good to have a few)

And please spread the word! We want a big turnout!

Serg, work your magic and send that mass test! (I swear he knows everyone with a Mitsubishi within 100 miles :D)
