I am thinking about picking up a 95 TSI AWD w/140k miles on it, 5 speed...and I have easy access to a tow dolly and have read that I need to disconnect the driveshaft to prevent damage. I am driving over an hour to see the car and wanted to know what size the bolts are...I'd hate to bring the wrong size and have to wait even longer to get the car. Can someone tell me the bolt sizes for the driveshaft where it connects to the rear differential and the holder? bolts for the other part of the driveshaft? I'm not sure how much towing would be...it's like 70 miles...any ideas? I could possibly get a tilt-flatbed trailer from work, would that just be a better idea? The car has a clutch issue(needs a new one) so it can't be driven as far as I know. Thanks guys.

Get the tilt trailer, it will be easier on the rear end. and you dont have to take the car apart just to tow it.
