Hows it going everyone?

Well, i was just putting some break in miles on my car, since the engine swap, just light driving, and the drivers side outer axle just completely rips apart, taking out my oil pan. this is the third time that this has happened to this axle... any ideas on what would be causing the axle to separate from the intermediate shaft? one thing i noticed, when putting my car back together, the carrier bearing did not mount up square with the block. Not sure exactly why this happened? or if there are supposed to be some sort of washers or spacers behind them, but its been like that since i bought the car.

Okay, so if I'm understanding this right, since i have a 95-96 bracket, must be original from the car? that i just need to use either the special spacer from mitsu, or a stack of washers to space it out. the one thing i didnt notice was if there was a specific spec for how much it should be spaced out? and would something like this cause the outer axle to be popping out?

Correct, so if you don't have the A/C bracket in there, you need the Mitsu part or some washers. You can't just bolt the intermediate shaft up to the block. The Mitsu spacer is 8mm thick.

I'd say it's a good possibility that if it's cocking the axle in one way that it could be a contributing factor. Can't say for sure though as I've never heard of this happening.

Cool, ill be ordering a new axle and oil pan tomorrow :( and will have to try it out, and see if it works. I knew something didnt look right when i was bolting up the bracket, but then again. a lot of things just dont look right with out cars.

yup, im on my 3rd axle, and 2nd oil pan now :/ i really hope it solves the issues as well. thank god i have a lift and heated shop that i can use :D
