Does head gasket thickness affect cam timing?

I was looking at the SCE ICS Titan head gaskets, and apparently SCE suggests a .060" thickness for our application, citing higher power handling. I thought stock compressed thickness was more around .043.

My only concern is, will this throw my cam timing off a noticeable amount, or I shouldn't worry? The head will be decked as well, and it might have already been decked once, but I doubt that would remove .020". Please enlighten me.

Yes, it does affect cam timing which is why adjustable cam gears exist. It probably will not be a factor for you in this case, but if you find that the cogs dont line up during assembly then its time to spring for some adjustable gears.
