Does any one have a t04b turbo?

However, Z1500 is right, if you have a full garrett, you will not be able to bolt it with your current setup. So, unless you are prepared to spend the money, I suggest you sell them.

I don't think I will get 700 for it. Its new but think I will just lose money.
What would I have to do to make it work for my car? Other people on this forum have t04b on there cars.(which I emailed them and waiting for responce). So what I got to do to make it work for mine. What wrong with using this turbo?

First, you have to find out the exact specs of this turbo. Ask the seller or measure the wheels yourself. If it's a full T4, you will need a T4 manifold for DSM. I have seen them selling for around $550-$600. Also, you wont be able to take advantage of it too much because it wont hit full spool until real late (6000-7000) unless you hit it with shots of nitrous. You are seriously not prepared.

If it's a T3/T4 combo, you may still have a chance (you will still need to know what is in the combo), get yourself a T3 manifold for DSM. Turbonetics and a few other vendors carry them for around $450 or so. With the manifold, you can then bolt it onto your DSM. However, for oil supply and return line, you will need to fab out something. Also, the turbo is setup for external wastegate, means you need to get an external wastegate, depending on the size of the gate, the price range from $300-$500. Custom the DP and a few other small stuff like intake, lower IC pipe. I would say around $1000-$1500 just to get it to bolt on if you need to customized everything. You might as well sell it and get yourself a kit for $1800 from DSMotorsports that you know is going to work. We have not even get into other issues such as fuel, intercooling, etc.

Good luck.

If you had a shaft and wheel in the bearing housing you'd see it don't fit.

Good night! Thats alot of moo-la. Think I will just sell the stinkin turbo for what ever I can get for it and just get a nother one that I can bolt on and call it a day.

Thanks for the help and info everyone.
I will be getting a diffrent turbo.

A To4 is too big for a 4cyl street car. (IMO) Trade it to somone that wants to go full race and is getting rid of there smaller turbo. It will work fine if you want to deal with the low points of a big turbo and spend the money to buy parts to adapt a Garret turbo. I have a sweet 14b if you want to trade me for that TO4B to go on mt VR6 turbo Corrado ;) ????:thumb:

The compressor side on that thing doesnt look too out of the question. The turbine wheel "at least in the pictures" looks like it will work. However, there is no way that turbine housing will work. It is way too large of an A/R to ever spool on a 2.0 liter piston motor. At the minimum you will have to change out the turbine housing to make it even remotely useable on a DSM. My advice would be to send it out to a professional turbo rebuilder and find out what it really is and what the overall condition is. Its possible that with a smaller turbine housing it would work fairly well on a heavily modded DSM. However you will need lots of supporting mods for that thing. Just eyeballing it looks like the compressor could support 450ish hp+. Its way out of your league currently.

Once you know exactly what it is you will have an easier time selling it for what its worth.

When will folks learn that ebay is not the best place to purchase performance parts? There is no bargain here. You can purchase a brand spanking new To4b turbo sized to your application for right around what you paid for this used mystery turbo. LOL

If you still got it in a week let me know. Right now I'am trying to sell it on ebay. I'am trying to get at least 300 for it. If it don't sell I'll trade you.

Well you can find some good deals on ebay. I'am seen alot of stuff for dsm on there that are great. But you got to know what your looking at though. And in my case I didn't. But you live and learn. I'am a fast learning, it won't happen again.

Second thought. No. I going to get a 20g. So I will have no use for a 14b and hopefully I will be able to sell the t04b.
But thanks for the offer.
