Do I need to have an intake on when Im at the tracks if I have a gm blowthrough setup? Is it more power to leave the intake side open to suck up all the air? Thanks.

You don't need one, But I recommend putting one on. If you don't put it on, Make sure to put a screen over the compressor inlet, So nothing flys in at it. Just think how hot the air would be, Going into the system. It would be sucking all the air in from the hot engine bay. With an intake pipe, You could route it anywhere you want it.

Hadnt realized about the heat.... Was going to try it at the tracks but probably get an intake.. I was thinking a cold air but I want a fast response.

Heres what I do. While daily driving, I run a 3" intake pipe and filter. At the track, I remove it. I don't reccomend driving it daily w/ out any type of filter, just for the slim chance that a bug, rock, stick, etc. getting into the turbo and killing it. That would suck and be expensive to fix. So I say, just for added safety, run a filter, at least for DD.

Yea for daily driving i have an intake but wanted to know if its more efficient to take off the intake when at the tracks... Thanks...

Yes, it is. Quicker spool, and nothing exept the turbo itself to limit how much it can flow into it.

I would imagine if you have a pretty good FMIC it shouldn't really effect your post IC temps.
