ECMlink Do i have more potential with this setup?

Before i begin i would like to say my mod list is in my profile. About a month ago, i got finished with someone who was helping me tune my car. The following day I went to the track and only did 103 mph so that caught my attention. With my mod list i should be trapping around 106 or 107. Anyways, i was looking at my log and at wot I only see around 8 degrees of timing, boost starts at 14 psi and creeps to 19 by redline and about 80% injector duty cycle. Im on 93 and i attached my log. I feel like i shouldnt be that high on the duty cycle on 750s with a 16g with this boost. What do you guys think?

The pump gas is killing you. You have no timing curve to make good power. Also which 16g is this? Look at my gst setup and times. Pretty similar to yours expect I used 100oct to get more timing. Was right around 19.5-20psi boost. Good for low 12's and probably would have hit 11's with alittle more seat time.
 
It's an E316g. On a perfect launch I can probably net high 12s but I should be trapping that with this setup on a decent launch. Would switching to E85 allow me to get more timing or sticking with pump and tweaking it some more?
 
The log looks good. I'm actually surprised how well that GM MAF is lining up with your AFRatioEst. Nice work there.

I'd expect your 750s to start tapping out. Your boost may not be that high, but your log is showing around 42 lb/min of airflow up top, which is pretty significant.

Really, the only thing you can do at this point is add more timing and more boost. However, you'll be limited on how much of each you can add by the 93 octane you're running.

Swapping to E85 would net you the potential for TONS more power. But, you'll need bigger injectors at a minimum.

I'm kind of confused about something Brett, and I'm hoping you can clear it up for me, I am also running 93 octane on a very similiar setup, except for the CR(stock 1g CR, and fp2 cams) and my peak timing at the top end of 3rd is 17 degrees 6500-7500 and my horsepower/torque figures are almost the same despite me running more boost. (airflow figures are almost identical too)

Basically my question is.. will going from the stock 1g CR to a 8.5 CR will have that dramatic of an effect on how much timing is allowed to be run if you try to keep running on 93? I'm still dialing some things in before I post up any more logs.
 
Low octane fuel + high compression + boost typically = recipe for knock. You may increase your off-boost response with higher compression, but overall it's not going to net you significantly more power, or the ability to run more timing/boost on 93 octane. Your time/money would be better spent swapping to a better fuel, like E85.
 
Your gonna like the e 85 I'm switching over after i get another turbo set up. I just had mine dyno. But plan to grab another turbo and bigger cams again what's the goal for your car.

Clears that up pretty well, I'm not too concerned about my setup, just that his timing table looks.. very conservative compared to mine with the only major difference being the CR as far as I can tell. Just to be clear I'm not looking to up my CR, just wondering aloud. (I'm actually done with the car for now.. until I get the 68hta back from FP)

I would love to switch to E-85 but it is not widely available where I live, and I drive my car daily so it's not a great option, I recommend it to anyone who can access it easily, but the closest gas station that has it is 20 mins the opposite direction from my work.

I considered sending him one of my logs and letting him see if got any gains off my timing map but I really think the higher CR will cause him to knock significantly more then what I do.

To kind of wrap this up since I feel like I'm thread jacking, I'd try adding some timing up top and see how it handles it. As stated above I'm running 17* with no knock at the end (I don't recommend going that high but still) But it's possible that the tune has more in it, When I first switched cams I ran a modded evo map and was very unhappy with it, I dialed my idle in a little better and swapped back to my previous modded 1g map and the difference was night and day.
 
So last night i went out for several hours and made a bunch of pulls. Weather was really cool last night so it was a perfect night. I started to increase boost to the desired level and then i tuned for timing. I stopped at around 18psi, which was about 4 to 5 psi higher then before. At a point the car felt really nice, but every time i did a 4th gear, the car would knock about 5 degrees. I just called it a night.
So today i wake up and i wanted to try something different. I want to keep this map, but bump the boost up about 4 lbs. So i went to do some more pulls but it was alot warmer (80 degrees sunny. With the increase in boost , I didnt knock 3rd or 4th and im content with the way the car is. Sure i could probably add more timing and get some more power out of it, but i will be fighting knock. Boost also doesnt creep anymore, it more like spikes above and then drops to normal, which is frustrating because all my knock last night was comming from that. Dang internal gated 16g LOL. I atttached another log, not the cleanest pull by all means.

I might have to. The boost control is inconsistent and it's a nightmare. You can probably see it in the log. 3rd gear is like 18 psi and then 4th is like 21.
 
Have you considered using ECMlink to control boost?
