Cornwall,
Ok, I'm buying a 272/272 set of cams. Now, I hear DKS are the exact same as HKS but half the price.

Any truth in this? I mean I have no quams in forking out the HKS price but if DKS is the exact same and I can save some $$$ then why not.

Also, I am thinking to change the valve springs at the same time, good idea or no?

Thanks for the input.

Edit: Almost forgot...anything else I should look at changing when swapping cams?

Same exact cams. The savings on the DKSs will save you cash to put into springs, you could do this but the 272s aren't so aggressive to need springs.

I have a set of the DKS 272's and am very pleased with them. I have no idea whether they are identical to the HKS cams but they seem to perform well and are worth the price.
Also if you have the money you might as well get some springs and retainers. You can get Manley springs and retainers for about $250.

Your money could be put to better use then springs and retainers, the grinds aren't so agressive to need more then stock springs, and the stock vavletrain can do 8500rpm all day, so unless you are going past 8500rpm, and are going with a larger race intended cam grind in the near future dont get springs.
Just my .02
