I was doing some research on another topic and when I came across some info that got me wondering. I was reading up on tuning with ECUflash and someone mentioned about a random multiple misfire code they kept getting and was said that's a common issue with a 6-bolt swap. My car is throwing the same code but I'm not sure if my car was swapped with a 6-bolt or not. Now I know the difference between the two is the number of bolts that attaches the flywheel but what would be the easiest way to check? If it turns out that the swap was done then I can use the money I was saving and do some more maintenance/mods.

the random misfire code comes from the 1g cas in a 2g because you have to simulate the cam and crank signals. if you do have a 6 bolt you will have a CAS on the left side of your valve cover it will either have a green or black cap on it. if you do have a 6 bolt there is a couple threads on here for temp. fixes but the best way to fix it is with dsm link and i just emailed them and they told me there coming out with the V3 lite package in a couple weeks hes finishing it this weekend and testing it in the next couple weeks go to dsmlink.com to check it out

hahah i took too long searching for the link.

apparently a couple people found it quicker
