i did a compression test and the results were as follows
160-145-145-160

that was with holding the key turned over for about 5 seconds or so

well dad said i was trying to make it read wrong and to do it again cause i "couldnt have a leak" so i held it for about 10 or so seconds and then each one raised 15psi so i had

175-160-160-175

i know the psi is high enough, but there is a 15psi difference. i also know that the car ran for a while misfiring on cylinders 2 and 3 (found out from previous owner a week or so after i bought the car)

so do i pass this test? or am i going to be looking forward to some problems later on? thx

i dont know that i would be worried much now your numbers are pleanty high i dont know why they arnt any closer than that but it isnt to bad they could be worse. :dsm:

Take off the valve cover and retorque the head studs/bolts.
Follow the correct torque sequence. You should have less than 14 psi between any cylinder.

Try putting some oil in 2 & 3 if compression goes up than the rings are worn out.

Also make sure compression is done at full operating temperature.

Also, if the wet test shows higher compression in 2 and 3, run a can of seafoam through the engine. It could be as simple as carbon built up around the rings due to the misfires in those 2 cylinders.
