Looks like you dropped it off the Empire State Building. I wouldn't reuse it, what brand pistons are you using?

P.S; I have the same keyboard LOL.

i think i got the same keyboard too. LOL.
o it looks like a stock mitsu piston. note the badge on the side :dsm:
o and the 63DT on the top. as the 63 of 4g63, D as the chassis code, T for Turbo- my guess.

Yeah it's just a stock mitsu piston that i was gona use on my 6bolt but not sure after this but i wana hear from other member before i decide to trash it ....

P.S i guess you guys can be cool since you have the same keyboard...LOL

It will be fine. I've done this before too.

Same here... I used fine grit sand paper and smoothed down any raised spots on the vertical face of the piston. I don't quite see a problem unless that dent were larger, or somewhere on the ring lands. Although, if it's just a stocker, it couldn't hurt to pick up a new one for peace of mind. It's up to you...

NO, but the one I used had a bigger dent! It was one of my wiseco pistons. 20,000 miles and still running.

Well this dent is not at all that big i don't think it will have any affect and from the feel of it it's not gona be messing whit my cylinder wall but i just wanted to have a second opinion,

It looks like it did not get into the ring lands. File and sand the edge and let it run.

I might have a brand new 7 bolt turbo piston downstairs. You can have it if you want it.

Different compression ratio.

I would visually inspect the piston for ANY cracks. Make sure the edge is smooth, so that way nothing scratchs the walls.

If it were mine, I would just clean up the nick with some 400 grit emery cloth so it doesn't protrude from the piston. The top of the piston doesn't come close enough to the cylinder wall IMO. The skirt is where the piston is closest. The top of the piston has ALOT of clearance. Just put it in upside down and move it from side to side right at the top of the piston...it should make you feel a little better.
