i wanted to get more info on both type injectors. preferably the 660 and 650. ive herd numerous ups and downs for both. i want to know the first hand experiences with these injectors and the tuning ability with a safc2. ive read the opinons in a few post so i know some general knowledge about them but would like to know more. i want to make the decision rite the first time.

I strongly recommend Denso injectors, but that's mostly just from personal experience and doesn't have much to do with any scientific reasoning.

wow! thanks for all the imput. (sarcastic) it seems like people either dont run fuel injectors here or they just dont want to take the time to help someone out with a little info. :thumbdown

Delphi/PTE/FIC = cheap
Denso = $$$ Quality and reliability.

With something as important as fuel, I wouldnt cut any corners. My friend has had issues tuning with FIC's for some reason, one injector would stay open radomly for a short amount of time.

well since there are barley any replies i would pick one and give it a shot. then post on the board which one is better so that we all can know. it looks like no one has put after market ones in ther car.well any way if they did some one should get off there a** and give advice i would but i havent dealt with them but i plan to, i would like info on them to so please any one who has delt with them give some info we dont know :talon: :thumb:

Have you try calling a vendor like prostreet sho sells both and ask them why the $70 difference. I remember there was one technical difference beside the quality when I did the reaserch but I don't remember what it was. I went with the Denso. One a side note, you shouldn't bump your own thread, I've seen many closed threads due to that bumping.

vendors dont really know. i mean delphi's are refered to as the cheap injecotr. with hard tuning abilities. and denso is the opposite. i want to know if that is fact or opinion.

I don't know what to tell you except get the Denso if money is not a big issue, either one is probably fine.

i know old thread but ive used both for those still wondering.

First I got the FIC's: Idle sucked and would change a lot depending on temperature, sometimes would be too rich, other times would wana stall. Tough to tune. Ive also been told the deadtime is different (a lot longer) on these. They use shower head sprayers instead of nice pintles so they dont atomize fuel as well and make cold starts worse.

Got rid of them as soon as someone posted some densos for $200 :) what a deal, those are perfect. no idle issues, tuned well and everything worked out great. From my personal experiences as well as what ive been told I wouldnt cheap out on injectors just keep your eyes open an get some used ones.

It's obviously a fact that delphi's are hard to tune and inconsistant. It's also a fact that I've never EVER heard anything bad about Denso's... That's probably why you didn't get any responses. To me the difference is night and day.

arash15 - You win the award for most post bumps in one thread without getting caught.

From my experience, Denso seems to be a better injector, but the Delphi's are more commonly used because they are cheaper. I have read more reported problems with the Delphi's than the Denso's. Places like PTE and FIC sell the Delphi injectors and GReddy's are Denso injectors. I have never had a problem with my FIC's (delphi's) yet......
