So here I am, doing something I never thought I'd be doing anytime soon. I've decided to sell my spyder. I don't have to, I don't really want to, but I need to. And above all, I probably should. I can't afford to put any more cash in to this thing to make it exactly what I want it to be in the end. I won't be able to remember everything I've done to this car but I'll try my best. Ok so I bought the car with only 72k original miles and it now has 84k (daily driver so will go up) it needed TLC so that's exactly what I gave it. Brand new convertible top with extra support brackets to beef it up. The top was professionally installed by A1 convertible tops in KC. I also have an extra set of convertible seals that I bought used but in good shape. (Just in case one day it decides to leak years down the road. Those seals are next to impossible to find) Extra rear window parts. (Also nearly impossible to find) All new motor mounts, all new hoses, all new belts, also new timing belt, New battery, New brakes, wheel bearings, upper and lower control arms, New plugs and wires, New MAF sensor, New 6 puck sprung 2600 ceramic clutch, brand new 18" pinnacle spyder wheels (black and chrome) with brand new nitrogen filled Z rated tires. (Venezia Crusade HP' s) New double Halo headlights, New black filled tail lights, brand new opened up exhaust with high flow tornado cat, and a new OBX-R muffler. (exhaust also has a brand new flex pipe so it was done correctly and won't snap off at the manifold like many people don't seem to do when upgrading) I have receipts for most things I've done including my $2k+ I've spent at the Mitsubishi dealer getting everything in tip top shape. I know there's a lot more that I'm not remembering but oh well. Basically what I'm saying is that I've spent way to many thousands of dollars in to this thing just to make it a reliable and basically still a stock vehicle. All I wanted was a stock eclipse spyder that was ultra reliable and would last for many years to come. I have driven the car from KC to Denver, KC to Houston and everywhere in between. It's been a great car. And everything something seemed to going wrong, I fixed it immediately. The drivers door and fender had some pretty good dents so I bought a donor car and replaced them. (Car is black but door and fender are red at this time) the car needs painted. It's got little dings and places where it was keyed before I bought it. So basically what I'm saying is that the car needs painted. That was the next thing that I was going to do but I wanted to get a body kit for it but of course that takes money that I didn't have so I've just waited and saved but more waiting than saving. Lol. The car runs great now (and it should after all the cash that I've put in to it) Unfortunately my son has a serious medical condition that is extremely expensive to maintain and since there is no cure, there really is no end in sight for my car. I can't save money for my car when there his health is far more important. I love my DSM but really should let her go so I can keep my priorities straight. As for the interior, I pulled out the carpet and under coated the entire floor and trunk. (No rust!) It's ready for carpet now but of course isn't the most appealing with no carpet installed. I still have the old carpet but it had grease stains on it when I got it so that's the first thing I took out. Carpet is cheap, so that's no big deal. The dash and center console is in excellent condition! Looks like the day it rolled off the show room floor. The upper dash is black and the lower is plasti dipped in black. Beautiful combination. The seats are gray cloth in decent condition also. Whoever buys the car will also receive a set of tan leather seats (minus the drivers seat) to have as well. I planned on going with tan leather but changed my mind. The pillars and upper mirror panel are also plasti dipped in black. (Didn't like the light gray) Of course you could always peel off the plasti dip and it will be back to normal. I've done the expensive work, it's almost ready to be everything I had hoped for. It needs a few little things I'm sure but like I said, there's not much else that should need replaced. Lol. Most all of these things have been replaced in just the last few months. If you know how good of a deal this is please help me get this thing sold. These cars often times nickel and dime you to death. I have already put out all of the nickel and dimes required to keep this thing in tip top shape. Now it's up to someone else to put the last few nickels into it and make her what I have always dreamed of. Taking offers at this time and considering trades. Thanks for your time.
