Ok well i was driving over 275 last night and bam, my engine flatlined. No sputter no nothing. i pulled over, poped the hood and noticed that my amp wire was grounding out onto a negative, now when i try to start the car it cranks but will not start. i had my wire tester and DMM with me so i checked for spark and get nothing, checked all fuses under the hood and under the dash and all are good, i then stuck my code reader on and everything checkout ok i have always got 1 code p0505 and i got it again so i think the ECU should be good still i think.

What else could i check besides the ignition pack,
I dont know if i could of fried my ECU or not i hope not since im still getting codes.
So if not the ECU and if the coil pack checks out what else could it be and were is it.

Check your cam angle sensor, transistor pack and coil packs. One of them probably shorted out. If you have access to either of these from a friend try them. It can still fall back to the ecu also. Your batt. and alt won't cause this problem as the cra turns over but doesn't start.

Actually, 2 years ago this happened to me....i replaced almost everything.... including the cam sensor.... So my last resort was a rebuilt ECU....and WAL LA!!!! VROOM VROOM.... but that is my exp. that i had...hope everything works out.... if you know any mechanics, see if they can get you it for 10% over cost. GOOD LUCK:thumb:

More than likely it was your ecu.. They are very sensitive to voltage.. but so is everything else in there that is electronic.. Pull the spark plug out and actually lay it down on the valve cover, with the wire attached.. have someone crank it, and watch for spark... If you know you have spark, then move on to fuel delivery.. if your relays are fine, and you can HEAR your fuel pump cycle, then its time to look at trying a different ecu...
