Datalogger lost connection w/ pics

I was in the process of hooking up my oil/a/f gauges and while I was at it I disconnected some wires that would not let my car connect to the datalogger. I took it to a garage and they hooked up one of their scanners and said it was getting some power but no connection.

Here are some pics: I have a red wire which is the power and a black one which I dont know what it is. I tried grounding this black wire but all it does is make sparks when it touches a ground.

Think, remember and go back from what you did in the first place.

Lesson learned. Next time you cut wires, mark them somehow and disconnect your battery.

That is exactly what I do. Learned a hard lesson on my past eclipse by not marking wires I had cut

Does anyone have a pic of this so I can see where I need to connect the wires? or could someone take a quick one for me?
