So I ran this CXRacing E316G for about 10K miles, never gave me any trouble. Ran 22-28 psi on a 30% mix of E85 w/pump. I took it off to go bigger but I wanted to see what kind of condition it was in internally. Before I took it off the turbo had 0 shaft play radially or axially and didn't burn or blow oil. I know 10k is not a long service life but I'm pretty sure this turbo would keep on huffing for a good long while.

Starting to get a fair amount of turbine seal leakage. Any abnormal play in either direction (up/down or in/out) prior to disassembly? Once that turbine sealing ring goes completely and starts dumping 1600*f exhaust into the cartridge, it's only a matter of time before it lets you down. ;)

Axial play was 0. Radial play was next to nothing, basically 0. Yeah, the leakage is there but I don't think it was on it's last legs... though, sooner or later it would go. Still, worked out fairly well for $200.00 and a step on the path.
 
I built something similar for Lofty a while ago out of some spare parts I had on hand and since it's been on three different cars- the last of which being his Galant where it's also being used at 28psi on pump gas and still going strong.

His unit has the factory knockoff thrust parts but received the same T3 journal bearings and turbine sealing ring that I use in customer turbos- the rotating assembly was also rebalanced.

They can be made reliable if quality control were to improve a bit.
 
I ran the same turbo for roughly the same mileage. Had no shaft play whatsoever but was burning oil like mad. Seal blew out on her. Was fed from the head using a 1g oil feed and a modified 2g drain.

No complaints and pulled very well when i got on it. ~22psi and would creep like mad with that tiny peehole WG hole. Although i swear the holes on the turbine housing were off a little bit.

The wheel castings seem to be decent, the housing are usable but the tolerances are too loose and the hit or miss assembly balance really hurts these. Not really an endorsement, I just wanted to see what 10k hard miles looked like on my still working Chinese Turbo and decided to share.
