Some states use your Social Security Number either with the driver's license record, or as a DL number itself. When you run a license plate, you get the registered owner's name (unless the car's registered in some odd way, such as through a trust), and from there you can try to back-track to the owner's information. Some states help this along by giving either the owner's date of birth, or sometimes their driver's license number on the registration. And some have all the information about the vehicle on the registration (color, model, even trim level). California is one of the ones that doesn't.Forced4 said:Not that I would do it...
But, I have a cousin in IL that is an officer. If I needed to track someone down(for legal reasons only), one phone call and he could get me a new address, just about any information about any other vehicles they own, info on relatives, criminal history etc...
I am sure there are many more things that can be gotten, and many other ways to do it.
But it does link you to to somewhat personal info about a person if you know what strings to pull.

UNTOUCHABLE
And the best thing I can come up with is:
UNTCHBL
Let me know what you guys think, and if you have any better ideas.
