Custom Clear Black Housing Corners for the 1GB!

No not really. I just got off my lazy ass and painted my clear corners housings black to match my headlights. Once my batteries charge in my camara I will upload them.

How did you do it? Did you simply follow this article? http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87503
And did the amber section of the corner just fall out of place? That looks awesome

Well first off. They are the clear corners I got from ProCarParts.com. They didnt have the amber peice. I just pre-heated my oven to 350 degrees. Took off all the rubber things and took out the bulb. Got a cookie sheet pan thing, placed tin foil over it and placed the light inside the oven. I then let it sit in the oven for 2 minutes. That wasn't long enough for the adheasive to loosen. So I went 4 minutes. But this caused the plastic bracket to bend and almost melt. When I took it out I simply bent the bracket back where it supposed to be. Then I got 2 flat head screw drivers and started to pry off the lens from the housing. Took off the lens and just got some black paint and painted the entire chrome housing of the corner. Let dry and put the lens back on. Keep oven on and put the new Black Clear Corner in the oven so the glue can melt again, Take it out and push it togther so the lens can glue it self back to the housing. *POOF* I will make a Write up for it now.

is your car acualy Satin black ? or does it just look like that in the pic.
Ive thought satin black paint would look hot on a dsm.
