Could this be a bad ignition module

Recently had a 6bolt swap done to my car, the 6bolt came from a 1990 car. Whats happening is the car is running on cylinders 1 and 4, when you shut it off it will run on 2 and 3. What Im wondering is if the car has a faulty ignition module causing to run on only 2 cylinders.

Check your coil, it could be caussing the problem as well. Get a hold of a service manual, it specifies clearly the test procedures for each of the ignition components. Good luck. :thumb:

If you`re running a 6 bolt, that means that there is some type of 1g cas. triggering the ignition - check the cas. & the wiring to it - a poor connection at the cas. or a failing cas. will cause these symptoms . . .

We tried multiple cam angle sensors and the same thing happened, it's currently running the black lid cam angle sensor.
